Announcement and registration procedures
The Biesse International Design Award 2026 invites students and emerging designers to develop innovative concepts for objects and furnishings capable of transforming residential and commercial spaces through a multi-material approach. Projects are expected to explore the dialogue between design, technology and materials, combining at least two materials among those processed with Biesse technologies — wood, glass, stone, plastic and composite materials, or metal — highlighting the potential of advanced manufacturing processes.
The competition offers a total prize fund of €18,000, distributed as follows:
- 1st Prize: €10,000
- 2nd Prize: €5,000
- 3rd Prize: €3,000
To make participation more accessible, the application process has been updated and now takes place in two phases:
- Phase 1 – Registration
Register online and receive your unique Participant ID. - Phase 2 – Project Submission
Develop your concept and submit your final project by November 2, 2026.
Projects must be submitted through the dedicated online platform by 23:59 (CET) on November 2, 2026.
Submissions will be evaluated anonymously by a jury composed of representatives from Biesse, POLI.design and experts from the design field.
The results of the competition will be announced by end of February, 2027.
