Lighting Design for Cultural Heritage - Workshop 
The workshop aims to introduce contents and analysis on issues related to lighting design of in the cultural heritage, through the development of a hypothetical project on a case study. Lighting of cultural heritage is one of the area’s most challenging and complex for lighting designers because of the multiplicity of objectives that should be pursued in the project . The protection and preservation of the goods, with special attention to the works of art, have as main design constraints defined by specific technical standards. At the same time there is the need of the exhibition of the work, the monument, the object or artifact, in the manner and with the means suitable for the correct visual, perceptual and cognitive fruition.
The design workshop aims to deepen and develop the theme of lighting for cultural heritage considering the variety of places where the exhibition design are made in a space existing museum assumed as field of intervention.
For the purposes of a successful participation in the workshop it will be required that participants’ have basic knowledge of lighting design.
During the workshop there will be a visit to Reggiani lighting headquartes.
40 hours
Admission to the course is reserved for a select number of participants and is subject to a selection process that will be carried out through interview, directly by the teachers who will hold the course.
The course will be held in English.
