Design a successful accommodation facility
The Course was created to investigate the new dynamics that influence the choices of users and how the design of internal and external common areas (for example the wellness areas or “private areas”) can determine the success of an accommodation facility, both in the case of restyling, which of new construction. Ample space will be dedicated to the restart of the sector most affected by the epidemic emergency; the current situation will be analyzed and how to manage the post-emergency phase with an eye towards the future evolution of hotels and wellness spaces
The new international trends in the design of services, common areas and different types of rooms will be explored.
The partnership between the university component and the world of companies and professions guarantees the quality of training through a practical theoretical approach, always updated, immediately usable in the profession.
The Course is structured in the first part (lectures), to transfer tools that can be immediately used in the profession. In the second part, (of project work) the technical aspects of the most innovative products of the leading companies in the reference market are analyzed, with the aim of comparing in the classroom all the players in the world of hospitality: managers, managers, designers and companies in the sector.
The Course in “Hotel & Wellness Design Solutions” aims to compare all the players in the hospitality and wellness sector in the classroom. It is aimed at graduates preferably in architecture, design or engineering and at professionals in the sector: hoteliers, entrepreneurs, managers, SPA managers, designers and companies in the sector.
Students are required to research and re-elaborate skills, passion, curiosity, enthusiasm and participation.
No special entry requirements are required.
It is possible to schedule a telephone interview for mutual knowledge and information on the Course, objectives and expectations.
The teaching is entrusted to professors of the Politecnico and designers of the sector. The teaching is complemented by testimonies and visits to locations.

The course in “Hotel & Wellness Design Solutions” is divided into different days, each of which involves the development of a theoretical part, which provides the basic tools and a part in which sector experts, producers and designers are invited, who present solutions and case studies in the field of hospitality and HO.RE.CA.
Based on the pandemic situation, visits to the company, showroom or design studios may be planned.
Based on their availability of time, professional interests and knowledge of the design programs, candidates can choose whether to participate in the theoretical lessons plus the final project work, in which to put into practice, in groups, the knowledge acquired, or only to the theoretical lessons.
The first part of the course (frontal lessons) can be attended by sector operators, hoteliers and managers; the project work is dedicated to designers.

The structure of the course
The course is developed in a theoretical-practical module of 80 hours of lectures and exercises and a final project work where the participants will be divided into groups and will independently carry out a project with scheduled revisions every other day for 40 hours that will allow students to express the design and creative skills acquired by comparing and testing oneself through a stimulating design challenge.
Educational tour
Depending on the pandemic situation, evening visits outside the canonical timetable of the Course, ie from 18:30 to 22:00, which are not included in the teaching plan or in the number of hours, may be carried out during the week in attendance. These visits will complete the educational path, are guided by the teachers of the course and have as their destination the visit to hotels, innovative spaces, spas and clubs.
The purpose of these visits is to directly investigate the characteristics, functions, design solutions and transformations in progress.
Participants will also be advised to visit itineraries of educational value to be carried out independently.
Contact with companies, the market and professional operators
The collaboration with specialized companies will allow participants to have a constant relationship with the realities operating in the sector. The research and application results developed in the final project work will be previewed to the Media and Academic Sponsors, and as part of any initiatives organized by POLI.design.
The course is developed in a theoretical-practical module of 76 hours of lectures and exercises and a final project work where the participants will be divided into groups and will independently carry out a project with scheduled revisions every other day for 40 hours which will allow members to express the design and creative skills acquired by comparing and testing themselves through a stimulating design challenge.
Educational tour: Educational tours (evening visits take place outside the canonical timetable of the Course, i.e., from 18:30 to 22:00 and are not part of the didactic plan or the tuition. These visits complete the educational path, are guided by the teachers of the course and propose visits to hotels, innovative spaces, spas and clubs. The purpose of these visits is to directly investigate the characteristics, functions, design solutions and transformations in progress. Participants will also be advised to visit itineraries of educational value to be carried out independently.

Conceived as a specialization course in the hospitality sector, HO.RE.CA. and Wellness, the course aims to compare all the players in the hospitality world in the classroom: hoteliers, managers, designers and companies in the sector.
Participants will acquire innovative content and develop practical solutions to deepen their specific preparation. They will be able to collaborate with design and design companies, hospitality industries and the production of furniture, health and equipment, and clients of wellness spaces.
The Course is aimed at all those who intend to acquire specific tools or improve their skills in hotel design. Students are required to research and re-elaborate skills, passion, curiosity, enthusiasm and participation. No special entry requirements are required.

Registration for the course has a cost of Euro 1,000.00 + VAT.
The cost of participation in the theoretical module alone is 700.00 + VAT.
