The course will present the new LED technologies (types and technical aspects) in the field of street lighting and urban and architectural environment. Various types of LED luminaires for outdoor use will be presented.Secondary optics for LED luminaires, from free form lenses to reflective solutions, will be described. Color management in outdoor luminaires will also be covered.Regulatory aspects of urban lighting.Light regulators: purpose, content, constraints for the lighting designer.Determination of the energy consumption and maintenance costs of an installation.The factors that determine the optimization of an installation.Lighting of the facades.What to illuminate?What criteria to adopt?Advantages of LED light sources over traditional ones.Arrangement of the equipment, identification of the opening of the beams and the power, in the various plant diagrams, according to the desired light atmosphere.
