Lighting Design for Hospitality

A course of study for Lighting Technologies, where theoretical and technological basis of the subject are debated, and a course of study for Design, where design themes are practiced and debated.

The courses, which are modules belonging to the Specializing Master in Lighting Design & LED Technology, are provided from POLI.design, are purchasable and attendable individually:

COURSE (40 hours): Lighting Design for the Show – 14 edition (5 – 14 february 2020)

WORKSHOP (40 hours): Lighting Design for hospitality (12 march 2020)

COURSE (82 hours): Lighting Design – Fondamental and CAD – 15 edition (17 september – 11 december 2020)

The POLI.design higher education courses are open to Masters’ students, undergraduates, graduates, professionals, workers and non-employed.

Didactics

Training objectives

The workshop will have the objective, through the elaboration of a project contextualized in a real situation in the naval context, of providing methodological tools for approach to lighting design. Participants must have basic knowledge of lighting technology. A basic competence on the use of software such as Autocad (or equivalent), Photoshop (or equivalent) and Dialux Evo (or equivalent) is also suggested.

Didactic Plan

The typical problems of the sector will be introduced through lectures. Subsequently a case study will be launched and the students will have to follow the design path starting from the concept, the technical drawings will be checked up to a final presentation of the results that will be of a seminar type. During the project work it will be possible to check the progress of the project through reviews with the teachers.

Title Released

At the end of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued to the Project Work in Lighting Design for Hospitality by POLI.design.
