Territorial Curator
Design and promotion of the Italian territories
I Edition
March 2018
The Specializing Master aims to build qualifications in skills and abilities relating to the planning, communication and management of processes for the promotion of the many regional Italian identities. The objective is to strengthen students' professional profiles with a strong multidisciplinary skill set guided by a solid aesthetic sensitivity, each time enabling them to participate in innovative solutions and the regeneration of the cultural heritage assets that any given region possesses.
The student will be guided in how to identify, give value and connect the different cultural souls and identities, in turn learning how to communicate through projects focused on regional cultural heritage. This ability will be complemented by specific design skills that will help to create, develop and manage innovative forms of territorial promotion, each time offering new ideas for services or re-design processes to integrate pre-existing service systems, taking care of both the qualitative aspects of projects and in particular the so-called "soft qualities," as well as the dynamics of interaction with environments and technology and the control of process management aspects within organisations and public or private institutions.
The didactics involves lectures, seminars, workshop and study trips. The program is divided into a first part that deals with the topic of how to analyse the resources that make up the cultural assets of a region, which is integrated within a multidisciplinary overview. The course is then divided into a series of planning workshops conducted in the field, which will provide the opportunity to apply what has been learned to real-life situations, the redesign of certain areas being used as a paradigm for many other types of regions.
Completing the training course will result in certified professional work experience.
