First-level Specializing Master at the Politecnico di Milano

Duration
The Specializing Master will begin March 6, 2019 and will end May 31, 2020.
The study plan calls for a full-time commitment.  In order to earn the degree, a minimum of 75% class attendance is required.

Admission Requirements
The enrollment at the Specializing Master in Transportation & Automobile Design requires a University Diploma, a Bachelor of Science degree,
or a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. Anyhow, the Master board has the right to consider the enrollment of candidates holding the above mentioned titles in other disciplines. For those who graduated not in Italy, equivalent study titles will be considered if recognized in the respective course of studies.
 
Admission Procedure
The selection will be made on the basis of the documents attached to the admission form. The selection committee reserves the right to call the
candidates (for foreign students will be activated the possibility of an electronic conversation with webcam). It's mandatory to do a self-declaration of a knowledge of the Italian language at least at a A2 level and a knowledge of the English language at least at a B1 level.

Applicants must submit the following selection documents to formazione@polidesign.net by February 28, 2019. Non-EU citizens residing abroad with a foreign Degree must send the documents at least 30 days before the application deadline mentioned before.

 
Italian/foreign citizens with Degree obtained in Italy have to send:
  • Portfolio with projects/sketches;
  • Application form;
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae;
  • A copy of the student’s identity document; 
  • Copy of the academic certificate plus to certificate detailing the marks obtained for each examination, or the Diploma Supplement.
Italian/EU citizens with foreign Degree have to send:
  • Portfolio with projects/sketches;
  • Application form;
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae;
  • Copy of the academic certificate plus to certificate detailing the marks obtained for each examination, or the Diploma Supplement (upon enrolment, the Declaration of Value from the local Italian Diplomatic authorities must be submitted, or an Official document issued by ENIC/NARIC centers);
  • A copy of the student’s identity document.
Tuition and Fees
Total charges for the Specializing Master are € 14.500,00 (including Politecnico di Milano enrollment fee of € 500).
 
 
Venue
Lessons will be held at POLI.design, via Durando 38/A, and at the Politecnico Bovisa Campus, via Durando 10, in Milan.
 
Certificates
Upon completion of the Specializing Master, students receive a first-level Politecnico di Milano Specializing Master Degree. The Specializing Master grants 60 CFU, equivalent to 60 ECTS.
 
Language
To achieve an experience of complete immersion in the culture of Italian design, the Specializing Master uses Italian as its official language.
In order to work in a global context such as Vehicles Designing, it is a indispensable prerequisite to own a solid knowledge of English language.
It is therefore required that participants  know Italian at least at level A2 and the English at least at level B1.

Total charges for the Specializing Master are € 14.500,00 (including Politecnico di Milano enrollment fee of € 500).

Goals

The goal of this Specializing Master is to train a professional designer to develop her or his own creativity, while innovatively integrating it with the academic knowledge specific to the syllabus. The student is expected to experience the whole style-development process typical of the automobile industry.
