international academic award for design and innovation in China. It is a platform for the evaluation, promotion and cooperation of contemporary innovative design, and an innovative accelerator that turns ideas into wealth for future development. DIA returns to the origin of design with human intelligence, advocates the core value of \u201cIntelligence of Humanity, Wisdomof Life, Fusion of Tech & Art, Brain of Industry\u201d, and plays the role of bringing world-wide creativity to an intelligent future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The theme of 2022 focuses on “Design Collaboration”<\/strong>. The significance of design collaboration lies in breaking down barriers and establishing a new relationship. 2022 is an extremely special year. After the comprehensive anti-epidemic period, we have entered the post-COVID-19 era of long-term coexistence with the virus. As an interdependent community, human society has reached a consensus. <strong>DIA hopes to link designers aroundthe world to explore the collaboration and sustainability in the post-epidemic era through design<\/strong>, so that design can be integrated with science&technology and art in different dimensions such as production, life and ecology, break the barriers of the self, and reconstruct new relationships and networks between human and society, human and industry, human and technology, human and medical care, etc. In this way, different countries, nations and civilizations can develop together and achieve win-win cooperationin mutual respect, and make self-confidence, inclusiveness, interaction and cooperation the core of humanistic spirit, opening a new chapter of wonderful design in the world.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Awards Setting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Awards are granted to the winners in both the Product Group and Concept Group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Product Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gold Award | 2 awards, RMB 1,000,000\/award<\/li>\n<li>Silver Award | 8 awards, RMB200,000\/award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Concept Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bronze Award | 10 awards, RMB 100,000\/award<\/li>\n<li>Future Talents Award | 2 awards, RMB 80,000\/award<\/li>\n<li>Young Talents Award | 8 awards, RMB 30,000\/award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the Honorable Mention Award will be granted to about 300 entries selected from the two groups (the actual number of award winners is subject to the appraisal results).<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Participating Entities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Participants<\/strong><br \/>\nBoth the Product Group and Concept Group are open to original works fromindividuals, enterprises, universities\/colleges and institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entry Requirement<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Product Group is for design of products that have been commercially available for less than 2 years, or unlaunched products with prototypes or samples provided. It is opento all kinds of design works such as product, software, integrated service, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The Concept Group is for design ideas from all industries and sectors. Cross-border innovations are encouraged and there are no limitations in forms. Entries should represent the future trend, and physical prototype or videos that explain the conceptual ideas indetails are required before the Final Evaluation this year. The DIA Committee observes the right to adjust the group and category of entries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Registration<\/strong><br \/>\nThe selection mechanism of direct application and expert nomination is adoptedintheDIA. Direct applications will be reviewed in the Preliminary Evaluation. Expert nominations, which have been approved by the DIA Committee, will directly enter totheFinal Evaluation. To ensure the impartiality, the experts who nominate the entries shall not serve as the judges of their nominations. The same entry is not allowed to apply in both the Product Group and Concept Group. Participants should register\/login via the DIA official website (www.di-award.org).<\/p>\n<p><strong> Entry Collection Period and Fees<\/strong><br \/>\nThe application system has been open<strong> from Apr. 9, 2022 and will close on Jul. 8, 2022 (24:00, UTC+8)<\/strong>. Late submissions cannot be accepted. No application fee is charged.
