It has a strong educational impulse and is designed to support the knowledge of wood. Promoted by TABU in partnership with Carpanelli, the contest is sponsored by ADI, FederlegnoArredo and FSC\u00ae Italia. <strong>University students<\/strong> and <strong>design professionals<\/strong> are invited to create unpublished projects of geometric, organic or combined designs as follows.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Multilaminar wood veneers<\/strong>\u00a0for the furniture industry and wall coverings for interiors<\/li>\n<li><strong>Industrial inlays<\/strong>\u00a0both on dyed natural veneers and on multilaminar wood veneers \u2013 or freely assemblable \u2013 for the production of panels, for the furniture industry and the wall coverings for interiors<\/li>\n<li><strong>Three-dimensional surfaces<\/strong>\u00a0made with the technique of the embossed relief or the bas-relief for the production of panels for the furniture industry and the wall coverings for interiors<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surfaces for state-of-the-art boiserie<\/strong>\u00a0carried out in sheets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wooden floors<\/strong>\u00a0carried out in slats or with other free geometric shapes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Furniture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aesthetic quality of the presentation and considerations about the technical feasibility of the project will be positively evaluated. Some other relevant criteria are the indication of at least one wood species certified according to the FSC\u00ae list, the attention to the reuse of wood and the optimization of its use in production processes.<\/p>\n<p>Students and professionals can participate as individuals or in groups. The first category includes all Italian and foreign candidates enrolled in Faculties of Architecture, Design and Engineering, Schools and Institutes of Design and Academies of Fine Arts.
