Architetta e Ph.D., Luisa Collina è Professoressa Ordinaria di Design. È stata Preside della Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano per sei anni, dal 2016 al 2021. In precedenza, nel 2005, ha fondato presso lo stesso Ateneo il Master in Product-Service-System Design, di cui è stata responsabile dal 2005 al 2015. Dal 2013 al 2019 è stata Presidente di Cumulus, l’Associazione Internazionale delle Università e delle Scuole di Arte, Design e Media. Dal 2010 al 2016 è stata Delegata del Rettore per Expo Milano 2015 e per i Grandi Eventi del Politecnico di Milano. Dal 2017 al 2022 ha ricoperto il ruolo di Delegata del Rettore per le Relazioni Esterne del Politecnico di Milano. Dal gennaio 2024 è membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione e Vicepresidente della Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. Dal 2021 è Esperta nazionale per Horizon Europe – Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society, su nomina del Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca. La sua attività di didattica, ricerca e progettazione si concentra sul design degli interni, il service design, il design strategico e l’innovazione guidata dal design. L’attività di curatela di mostre, la produzione scientifica e i progetti premiati – che sono regolarmente presentati in conferenze e pubblicazioni internazionali – comprendono contributi per l’Expo Milano 2015, per le celebrazioni per il 150° anniversario del Politecnico di Milano, per il Triennale Design Museum, oltre a collaborazioni con il Museo Guggenheim di Bilbao e altre importanti istituzioni internazionali.

Architect, Ph.D., Luisa Collina is Full Professor of Design. She has been Dean for six years, from 2016 to 2021, of the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano. Before, in 2005, she established a Master course there in Product-Service-System Design, and from 2005 to 2015 she has been Head of the program. From 2013 to 2019 she has been elected President of Cumulus, the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media. From 2010 to 2016 she has been Rector’s Delegate for Milan Expo 2015 and for the Major Events of Politecnico di Milano. From 2017 to 2022 she has been Rector’s Delegate for external relations of Politecnico di Milano. Since January 2024, he has been a member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of the Milan Polytechnic Foundation. Since 2021 she has been nominated National expert for Horizon Europe Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society, appointed by the Italian Ministry for University and Research. Luisa’s teaching, research, and practice relate to design focus on interiors, services, strategic design, and design-driven innovation. Her curation of exhibitions, scholarship and award-winning work are featured on an ongoing basis in international conferences and publications such as contributions to the Universal Expo 2015 in Milan, for the 150th anniversary of Politecnico di Milano and the Triennale Design Museum, Bilbao Guggenheim Museum and others.
