Bio

Enrica Monticelli is the Group Technology Innovation Director at De’Longhi Appliances, driving Product Innovation & Sustainability across De’Longhi, Braun, and Kenwood. She holds a Master’s in Physics from the University of Turin (1995), with research on Nuclear Fusion Technology at JET in Oxford. She joined Whirlpool in 1997, advancing in R&D and Corporate Innovation leadership. In 2012, she received the “Tecnovisionaria – Women Innovation” award for her representative role in several Scientific committees in Italy and abroad. Since joining De’Longhi in 2014 as Home R&D Director, she has led key innovation strategies, assuming her current role in 2022. She has spearheaded the Product Sustainability Pillar since 2019 and sits on the De’Longhi Group Sustainability Steering Committee. In 2023, she began an Executive PhD in the Design Department of Politecnico of Milan, applying Insider Action Research to develop strategic frameworks that enhance eco-design integration into product sustainability and innovation.
