Mad for Brazil, Mad for Design

Take part in the contest MAD FOR BRAZIL, MAD FOR DESIGN, conceived by Studio Marcello Albini and promoted with the collaboration of Brazil S/A, MAD ZONE, Associazione Cibartisti, Rossi di Albizzate and La Murrina, under the patronage of the General Consulate of Brazil in Milan and with the collaboration of POLI.design, founded by Politecnico di Milano and of IED.

The competition is aimed at young Brazilians designers and creatives: through their eyes and their interpretation, the promoters aim to encourage an exchange between the made in Italy and Brazilian culture of design.

The contest is part of MAD FOR BRAZIL project, a series of events that take place in Milan design venues, connecting fashion, art food and design, in the name of the Brazilian-inspired creativity.

The two companies that sponsor the contest, Rossi di Albizzate and La Murrina, combine tradition and innovation: Rossi di Albizzate retains 80 years of history in Albizzate museum; La Murrina began its activity 50 years ago in a furnace of Murano, where still now chandeliers and all the company’s production objects are made with the art of blown glass.

The contest has two different briefs, developed by sponsoring companies:
Brief 1: dedicated to the seats, sponsored by Rossi di Albizzate;
Brief 2: dedicated to lighting, sponsored by La Murrina.
Projects can also be enriched with crystals kindly offered by Swarovski.
