Bio

Born in Hong Kong, China, Steve Leung is an internationally renowned architect, interior and product
designer with over 40 years of experience. Inspired by Asian culture and arts, his works are known for their distinctive contemporary style.

In 1997, Steve founded Steve Leung Architects Ltd. (SLA) and Steve Leung Designers Ltd. (SLD) in Hong Kong, and entered the Mainland market in 2000. In 2018, Steve Leung Design Group was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK: 2262), becoming Hong Kong’s first listed pure design company.

Headquartered in Hong Kong and Shanghai, with offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Doha and Milan, the Group has over 400 professionals and is one of Asia’s largest interior design practices. Its projects span over 130 cities and have earned more than 250 international awards. Steve was honoured with The Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award 2015. Since 2016, the Group has been named the No. 1 Residential Interior Design Firm four times in Interior Design magazine’s Top 100 Giants ranking.

Steve was the first Chinese President of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI), from 2017 to 2020. He has also served as Executive Director of the Design Committee of the China National Interior Decoration Association (CIDA) and Chairman of Hong Kong Design Centre. He has judged leading international awards, including the Red Dot and iF Design Awards. In 2022, the HKSAR Government awarded him the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) for his contributions to nurturing young architects and designers, and to fostering sustainable development in Hong Kong and the Mainland
