Course

Over the past decade, museums face profound transformations: audiences demanding digital, personalized experiences; streaming platforms competing for free time; technologies redefining cultural production. Those in culture must develop an entrepreneurial approach — building sustainability, inclusivity, and measurable impact. The Course in Curator of Cultural Innovation gives participants the tools to read cultural change, design innovative experiences, and build new business models for institutions. Program goals:

  • Develop critical reading of cultural dynamics, generational shifts, and new audience behaviors through Modern Mythology frameworks
  • Apply data-driven and human-centered approaches to build new experiential models integrating XR, AI, and immersive environments
  • Develop skills to transform cultural institutions into entrepreneurial realities generating lasting economic and cultural value
  • Acquire tools for digital valorization of heritage, data management, and building informed narratives in multicultural contexts.

The course enables participants to turn culture and heritage into a strategic, future-facing asset. It consolidates a new curatorial role focused on innovation, accessibility, and sustainability. Through Fondazione M-Cube contributions and real case studies, participants acquire operational tools and a strategic vision of heritage as a business lever. Breakout room exercises support real collaboration at distance. Main topics:

  • Cultural narratives and change: how contemporary mythology reflects generational shifts and evolving audience behaviors.
  • Strategic and immersive design: leveraging trend analysis, storyliving, and intercultural communication for actionable cultural strategies.

Innovation in cultural institutions: exploring new models and case studies for museums, with a focus on scenarios and tools from the museum sector.
