Certificatore Energetico

HIGHER EDUCATION COURSE NOT AVAILABLE NOW

Italian

Course

The Certification is part of the measures that have as their objective the construction of buildings with almost zero energy consumption, as part of international policies to combat the greenhouse effect.
After almost a decade of existence, the certification is deeply renewed with the implementation of new European directives on energy saving. The Certification for its place in the environmental policies is destined to remain in the legislative landscape for a long time and already today has become a standard practice of each operation of rent, sale or completion of work. It is interesting professionally because it represents a work contact susceptible to development and is a qualifying element of a curriculum.

The new Certification takes into account summer consumption and much more. As of January 1st, it will become mandatory also for new constructions – those with almost zero energy consumption – with the casuistry of building envelope and systems that follows.

In the Lombardy Region, the old Cened and Cened+ software has been replaced by the new Cened+2, which implements the new regulations. Everyone knows the difficulties encountered in using this software, if only because of the updates published on a weekly basis.

On the occasion of the implementation of the new directives, the training of certifiers at a national level has been reorganized and, in part, liberalized.
Those who are qualified and enrolled in a professional Order or College can be accredited by the Region and become certifiers without further compulsory training; the others must attend a course of 80 hours. The list of titles, qualifications and Orders is on the site www.cened.it.

Deregulation should be used with caution, because certification is used for practices of significant economic value and therefore is subject to heavy liability. Greater public scrutiny has been foreseen, but civil litigation is especially insidious, because a certification can be challenged to obtain a wide variety of advantages. The certifier, in order to cope with this, must have an effective knowledge of the complex technical and regulatory cases that can occur in a building.

Didactics

Attendance

The course will begin on February 12, 2016 and will be held in 3 days of classes (February 12, 19 and 25, 2016) of 8 hours each, for a total of 24 hours .
Attendance at the course is mandatory for 90% of the total hours.

Training objectives

The course is entirely aimed at the practice of the new software and offers a complete example of two certifications screen by screen, one for an existing building and one for a new building.
In the two examples all the critical points of the certification are touched: thermal zones, calculation options, dispersion to the ground and to unheated environments, thermal bridges, wall structures, roofs and attics, ventilation, etc.. In addition, many software procedures that are not written or not easily found in the texts are clarified.
The tutorial should enable the certifier to use the Cened+2 software by offering a facilitated explanation of the 560 pages of instructions (Annex H of Director Decree 6480 30/7/2015).
In order to follow the exercise, members must have their own laptop with the Cened+2 software mounted and running, downloaded from the website www.cened.it.

Didactic Plan

Classes are held over three days with 4 hours in the morning and 4 in the afternoon (9:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00) according to a practice already proven in many editions of courses for certifiers.

The course will be held on Friday, February 12 and 19 and Thursday, February 25, 2016.

Exercises: the teacher develops the exercise on the screen by scrolling through the various screens of the software that fills in as they go (but the repetitive parts are already pre-filled). At the desks, the participants have the same screen on their personal computers (loaded wifi or with a key) and they fill in the various screens in turn, skipping the repetitive pre-filled ones. Students must have preloaded the software distributed free of charge by the Region. Usually the loading of the software is successful and any problems are solved in the first hours of the course.
The exercise develops rather slowly because explanations are given for each screen, even if not directly related to the screen. During the exercise phase, the theoretical part is also developed with the result of linking practice to theory and to lighten the argument that nevertheless remains rather heavy.

Didactic Modules

First day
4 hours morning
Main differences in approach to the new certification. Metering based on non-renewable energy, comparison with the reference building, summer energy consumption.
Other detailed differences: the new classes, the new logo, etc. Coordination with the national guidelines and the various open questions: from the national archive to qualifications, from incompatibilities to certification controls. The national software and the commercial ones.
4 hours afternoon
Beginning of the exercise on Cened+2 software for existing buildings, architectural part.

Second day
4 hours morning
Exercise on software Cened+2 existing building, plant engineering part.
4 hours afternoon
Exercise on Cened+2 software for new building, architectural part.

Third day
4 hours morning
Continuation of the exercise on Cened+2 software for new buildings, plant engineering part.
4 hours afternoon
Continuation until the end of the exercise on Cened+2 software for new buildings, plant engineering part.

For the engineers, there will be a final written learning test (foreseen by their CFP), made up of 10 questions, which the Director of the Course will submit on the last day of class.

Title Released

At the end of the Course, a certificate of attendance to the 24-hour Energy Certifying Course will be issued by POLI.design, Politecnico di Milano, to those who attend at least 90% of the total number of hours.
Event in collaboration with the Order of Architects of Milan. 15 cfp have been requested to CNAPPC
In the first edition, the Order of Engineers of Milan has recognized 24 CFP (with a final test of 10 questions submitted on the last day of the course); the College of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors of Monza and Brianza has recognized 1 CFP every hour of the course.
Those who wish to have CFP Professional Training Credits and belong to an Order or College that requires prior accreditation of the course must inquire about the conditions set by its organization and make a request to the secretariat at the time of registration.

Admission

Requirements

Those who have the qualifications necessary for accreditation in the Lombardy Region are admitted. The list of qualifications for accreditation is in Director’s Decree 6480, Attachment F.
Since the Course does not give the possibility of accreditation, there is no need for a selection or assessment of motivations.
