DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

The XVIII edition of the Jewelery Design Course allows to rapid understand the logic of the industry and the basis for the production of jewelry with a global vision of the production cycle.
The jewel will be studied from the point of view of design and all its founding elements: materials, techniques, culture, trends, market, retail, communication, design, modeling, prototyping.

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

The participants will acquire design skills and will be able to collaborate with design and design companies, goldsmiths and fair companies.

TITLE RELEASED

Attending will be issued a Certificate of Attendance to the Course in "Jewelery Design " of POLI.design –Politecnico di Milano.
Course attendance is mandatory for 80% of the total number of hours.

DIDACTIC CONTENT

The course is educational and will address the complexity of the goldsmith project in its many aspects:

  • Study of traditional jewelery materials and techniques;
  • Study of materials and techniques coming from different disciplines, seen as challenges for designers and as opportunities for innovation;
  • Analysis of cultural interpretations dedicated to jewelery;
  • Definition of the gold market; Analysis of sales, distribution and communication strategies.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The course is aimed at:

  • first and second level graduates;
  • graduates of art schools and goldsmith institutes, operators in the sector;
  • professionals who want to specialize in Jewel Design.

APPLICATIONS

Admission to the course, reserved for a maximum of 20 participants, is subject to a prior selection.

Candidates must send the following documentation:
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Portfolio;
  • Application Form;
  • Copy of the identity document;
  • Copy of the tax code.
