The course follows an approach geared to the professional sphere; descriptive geometry is treated as the main instrument and preliminary to any representation techniques that are used during the design process: from the early stages of analysis, until the return of the phases of technical and graphical presentation and production.

Didactics

Attendance

The course lasts 40 hours. Lessons include alternation between communications of the teacher and practical training.

Class attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the hours.

Training objectives

The course aims to provide students with the fundamentals of descriptive geometry (orthogonal, isometric and perspective) so that they are able to communicate the project in an effective and formally correct manner.

  • References to descriptive geometry;
  • The orthogonal projections;
  • The sections;
  • Axonometric views;
  • Formal analysis and overall relief;
  • Central perspective;
  • Accidental perspective;
  • Sloping picture perspective.

Title Released

At the end of the course a certificate of attendance to the Basic Tools for Drawing Course and Open Badge will be issued by POLI.design, Politecnico di Milano.

The course is aimed at graduates, students and professionals of design disciplines.

For Politecnico di Milano students or POLI.design master students the cost is 590,00 € + VAT (22%)
Financial aid available for the candidates who want to attend two or more modules of the Design Tools Course.
