Design the Digital Strategy is a first level university Specializing Master of the Politecnico di Milano, an evolution of “Specializing Master SNID – Social Network Influence Design”, which was created with the objective of training professionals to plan, coordinate, and monitor business, marketing and digital communication strategies.
The training program focuses on the transmission of a single method of design and technical expertise, that enables candidates to interpret the changes taking place in the current communication landscape and the opportunities offered by new technology scenarios, and to assist companies in the transition from traditional to integrated forms of communication.
Listening, Strategy and Monitoring are the pillars of the educational process in a mix of disciplines that allows you to design and implement digital communications ecosystems in line with the conversion lenses of the brand with a particular attention to the relationship between the company and the network users . The user will be, as well, the center of the strategic path according to a User Centered Design approach.

What educational products offered three years ago is insufficient today: the web is full of tips, tricks, and such synthetic and homogeneous rules as to become memes themselves: without a logic that organizes them, often containing more contradictions than reflection points.

All candidates of the past editions of the Specializing Master in Digital Strategy now work steadily: after access to the labour market obtained through the internship guaranteed by the Specializing Master, within a few months our professionals have been able to carve an important space in the sector, acting as a reference point in the complex period of change that companies are experiencing at this stage of renewal. The most important result is the formation of a community of active professionals who are strongly linked to the Master’s, able to welcome new candidates by providing them with concrete support.
The Specializing Master aims to train professionals able to design, coordinate and monitor business strategies, digital marketing and communication.
LISTENING, STRATEGY and MONITORING are the pillars of the process that will lead the class to create digital communication ecosystems in line with the values and objectives of the brand, with particular attention to the relationship between the company and the users of the network. The end user will be at the center of the strategic path, according to a User Centered Design approach. The outgoing figure will combine strategic and project management skills, experience in choosing communication languages and mastery of technicality, and will be able to fill the following roles: Digital strategist, Digital Officer, Content Strategist, Digital Reputation Manager, Digital ADV Specialist, Data Scientist.
In this phase the students will acquire a unique design method to interpret the needs of companies and translate them into a strategy that exploits the opportunities of digital to bring business objectives.
They will be prepared to fill the role of digital strategist, through the transmission of a design approach that will enable them to form a critical thinking and a personal method, useful for the interpretation of the job market.
Each topic will be presented through theoretical and practical information, and then verified by carrying out exercises based on real projects.

In this phase, students will have the opportunity to deepen, through theoretical and practical lessons, the main themes of the digital communications landscape. They will be trained in the professions of:

In this phase, students work to enhance their professional role, through:
a custom personal branding path, where industry experts will help each student to outline their competitive edge and to value their professional skills;
a training path to learn the basics of PM;
a focus on managing relations with technology providers, to make digital strategist autonomous and self-conscious in the work processes and budget management also from this point of view.
#5. PROJECT WORK
Test yourself in real projects
The design skills acquired by the students will be tested with three project work; briefings will be assigned by real customers, from different sectors: consumer, business, government, nonprofit and p2p economy.
The class, divided into groups, will work as a true communication agency, respecting deadlines and targets, and testing them throughout the sales process with the customer.

Learn to plan your career, we will teach you to recognize and value your peculiarities.
Test your skills.
We will understand together which type of company is best suited to your characteristics and for three months you will have the opportunity to experiment on the field what you have learned during the course.
A final exam will formalize the path done by each student.
At the end of the course, students who pass the final examination will receive a joint first-level Specializing Master in “DESIGN THE DIGITAL STRATEGY. Design, marketing e comunicazione per la trasformazione digitale” from the Politecnico di Milano.
The Specializing Master in Design the Digital Strategy trains professionals able to devise and manage digital communication and marketing strategies and to coordinate the various figures necessary for the process. Thanks to the design approach and the ability to interpret the context developed during the Master, candidates will be able to design and manage digital transformation strategies for business, marketing and communication.
During the training the candidate acquires the necessary strategic and project management skills, the experience in the choice of communication languages and the mastery of technicality that allow him to fill different roles on the market:
Digital PR & reputation manager;
Digital ADV expert;
It is open to candidates holding a University Diploma or Degree in:
Economics and Business (including but not limited to: Economics, Finance and Corporate Law);
Humanities (including but not limited to: Philosophy, Sociology, Journalism, Foreign Languages and Literatures, Humanities in the Environment and Landscape, New Art Technologies);
Communication Sciences (including but not limited to: Culture and Language for Communication, Communication and Psychology, Media Languages, Publishing, Communication and Information Sciences);
Candidates are invited to consult the Master Board if their study path doesen’t match with these categories. For foreign applicants, equivalent qualifications will be considered in their respective studies.

for Italian / foreign citizens with a qualification obtained in Italy within October 2021
for Extra U.E. citizens within September 2021
The cost of the Specializing Master is 12.000 € (11.500 € participation fee + 500 € registration fee at Politecnico di Milano).
For graduate students at the Politecnico di Milano, the enrollment fee is 9.000 € divided into: Entrance fee to the Politecnico di Milano 500 € per pupil and participation fee to the Master, equal to 8.500 € per student.
Companies can purchase the four specialization modules (Content Strategist, Digital PR & Reputation Manager, Digital ADV Specialist, Data Scientist) at a total cost of € 6,000 + VAT.
