Course

With the COVID-19 pandemic, many organizations began to question the value of traditional offices. Indeed traditional offices were often unfair, uncomfortable, uncreative, and unproductive. With the other shocks, such as climate change, social inequality, and even war, some leaders saw an urgent opportunity to change behaviours regarding where, when and how work got done.

The Executive Course “– Concepts for designing a new office and life balance” explores how to seize this great opportunity to transform the workplace. By thinking futureback, the course aims to innovate work with more purpose, prosperity, and productivity, while increasing belonging and reducing our climate impact. For example, learners will explore how to build a world with more sense of purpose or to build a world with positive climate impacts and the importance of circular design.

Based on the new book “Office Shock: Creating Better Futures for Working and Living”, the course will introduce the seven spectrums of choice for creating better futures for working and living.  Each spectrum has polarities – positions leaders need to slide between in order to make the right choices at the right time in different situations. The course will conclude with recommendations to guide you, your organization, your communities to make smart choices in a very uncertain future.

Workplace Futures – Concepts for designing a new office and life balance, a Executive Course, offers bold leaders an opportunity to update the professional skills with tools to create the future of work for today’s social, economic and environmental challenges on both a small and large scale.
