Michele Melazzini
Bio
Michele Melazzini, PhD in Design, is a Research Fellow at the Department of Design – Politecnico di Milano. The research activity focuses on design’s role in the organization, covering research areas such as strategic design and design management. With a background in product design, Michele built his experience in applying and developing design practices to support cultural transformation and innovation processes. He collaborates on international research projects (Horizon 2020, Interreg, Erasmus+) that deal with Creative Industries, Design Thinking processes applied to SMEs, and Entrepreneurship. In the last few years, Michele has been teaching at the Politecnico di Milano Design School and POLI.Design Consortium. He worked as a strategic designer /consultant for different companies (most recently: IMI CIB Intesa Sanpaolo, Uponor, Panasonic, Fantoni Group, Veneta Cucine). Michele has started to learn and discover the “soul” of the design during a long collaboration with Fondazione Achille Castiglioni.
