Bio

Massimo Gregori Grgic is a well-known designer among the worldwide yachting community. His professional experience begins in the 70’s with the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology. After an apprenticeship time at the Studio of the famous designer Alberto Mercati, in 1976 Massimo founds Yankee Delta Studio together with Fulvio De Simoni. In 1983 Fulvio leaves the Studio. During his career Massimo has designed more than one hundred and fifty successful vessels, most of them planning motor yachts, ranging from nine to seventy meters. His design work is quite complete and goes from pure styling to the more complex naval architecture. Massimo lectures in seminars and has taught for many years at the Master Yacht Design at POLIdesign in Milano. Has published three naval architecture manuals with Franco Angeli Editore in Milano: “Interior yacht design”, “Il progetto della nave” and “Yacht Design Handbook”. He cooperates with some technical magazines, signing his articles with an alias. Massimo presently lives and works in Tuscany, in a farmhouse on the hills behind Pisa.
