Bio
Disha Mittal is a service design practitioner and the founder of Service Design Careers, working at the intersection of systems thinking, inclusive innovation, and creative foresight. Her experience spans public services, sustainability, pharmaceuticals and mobility sectors. She brings a strong foundation in ethnographic research, an ability to navigate complex systems, and a deep commitment to designing with, not just for. Her work focuses on shaping solutions that are brave, contextually relevant, and grounded in real human needs — from future mobility to social impact in public services — alongside mentoring the next generation of designers. Alongside her practice, Disha is an active contributor to the design community. She regularly lectures at design universities in the UK, and has shared her perspectives on service design, systems change, and inclusive innovation at global platforms including TEDx, SDinGov, and the Service Design Network. Disha founded Service Design Careers to bridge the gap
between emerging talent and real-world opportunities in service design. She observed that many passionate designers struggled to navigate career paths in this evolving field, and she wanted to create a resource that supports professional growth and helps launch design careers. Through this venture, she helps designers position themselves within the industry, articulate their narrative and practice, and find meaningful opportunities.
