Brianza Experience is a network of ten cities in Brianza (Cabiate, Cantù, Carugo, Figino Serenza, Giussano, Lentate sul Seveso, Lissone, Mariano Comense, Meda and Sovico), formed in 2014 to promote economic and cultural initiatives for local development. In a radius of just over 25 km, there are around 200 thousand inhabitants and nearly 2,000 businesses in the wood furniture and design sector. A natural complement to Milan, world capital of design, with a capacity for unique synergies: on the one hand, a metropolis with all the attendant services and new creative professions; on the the other, Brianza, where artisanal traditions and new technologies transform the ideas of designers into products of the highest quality, making it one of the most important design districts in the world.

The contest is part of Brianza Design District, a project realized by the Brianza Experience network with the aim of promoting the artisanal and industrial culture of Brianza in the field of design and furniture. It is a platform in which to discover a Grand Tour of the district’s production sites, between innovation and tradition. And by extension, promoting a new form of experiential tourism, where alongside classic tourist destinations visitors can experience the factories, laboratories and workshops that are the beating heart of Brianza’s know-how.
Under the banner of #brianzadesigndistrict there are now about 180 companies (from artisan workshops to major industrial groups) which have made this area great, and which still today have a lot to say, and above all to create.
