Porada International Design Award 2025

PORADA ARREDI srl and POLI.design present the new edition of the international competition dedicated to the world of furniture design. The goal: to identify new concepts exploring various types of SOFAS. The key requirement: the use of solid wood as the dominant, though not necessarily exclusive, material. The design must reflect the values and identity of the Porada brand. Creativity is encouraged, especially with fabric and other material coverings—preferably selected from those used in the brand’s collection.

Submissions (in digital format) must be and uploaded no later than midnight on January 31st, 2026. Projects are evaluated based on originality, innovation, and the level of research relating to traditional solid wood craftsmanship, material experimentation, and surface finishes. A key factor is the project’s ability to define and anticipate new use scenarios and innovative concepts for wooden furniture and contemporary home accessories. Special attention goes to typological, technological, and morphological aspects of the sofa, and how well the proposed solution aligns with the values and identity of the Porada brand.

The jury is made up of two representatives from Porada, one from POLI.design, one from ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, and five professionals from the design and publishing sectors.

The total prize fund of €11,000.00 will be awarded as follows:

PROFESSIONALS category:
1st prize €2,500.00
2nd prize €1,500.00
3rd prize €1,000.00

STUDENTS category:
1st prize €2,500.00
2nd prize €1,500.00
3rd prize €1,000.00

Additionally, the “Giacomo Allievi Special Mention” will be awarded, valued at €1,000.00. This may be assigned to either a student or a professional. A dedicated jury will select the project that best balances traditional wood craftsmanship with modern design in both structural and creative development.
