Porada International Design Award 2026

PORADA ARREDI srl and POLI.design join forces once again for the 2026 edition of the Porada International Design Award, a competition supported by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. This year’s theme: the table. Participants are asked to design new furniture solutions that stand out both for their predominant use of solid wood and for their formal, functional and aesthetic potential. Beyond showcasing the iconic materials of the Porada collection, the Award aims to promote designs that fully express the brand’s values and style, while leaving room for experimentation with finishes, coverings and details.

Projects must be submitted digitally by January 31, 2027, through the dedicated portal. Entries will be evaluated based on originality, innovation, faithfulness to traditional solid wood craftsmanship, and material experimentation. Concepts that envision new usage scenarios for the contemporary furniture piece will also be highly appreciated. Each table must reflect the Porada identity, both in its typological concept and in its technological and formal choices. The entire creative process will also be assessed for its ability to blend craftsmanship with contemporary design.

The jury will include representatives from Porada, POLI.design, ADI, and five industry experts — designers and publishers. The total prize pool is €10,000, split equally between two categories: Professionals and Students. Each category will award three prizes (€2,500, €1,500, €1,000). A special mention, the Giacomo Allievi Award, worth €1,000, will also be given to the project that best combines craft tradition with structural innovation. A unique opportunity for both emerging and established designers to engage with one of the key themes in furniture design.
