Course

Spaces are made for the people who inhabit them. Interior design projects should start with needs analysis and evolve through scenario development, layout definition, the informed selection of materials and technologies, time and cost evaluation, and coordination with stakeholders. The Specializing Master in Interior Design: Shaping Spaces across Cultures and Contexts provides the skills needed to approach this process effectively.

The program trains professionals capable of addressing the complexity of interior design projects with methodological rigor, strategic vision, and operational autonomy. Students develop a solid understanding of professional processes, acquire practical tools, and become familiar with design languages in a structured and informed way. Through this educational experience, they have the opportunity to engage with the entire design process, understood as a system of analysis, interpretation, and development of interior projects.

Training objectives

The Specializing Master is aimed at graduates and young professionals wishing to acquire an advanced specialization in interior design, developing a critical, methodologically structured and professionally oriented profile.

• To develop a critical and methodologically grounded approach to interior design, addressing projects across functional, formal, technological, economic, and communicative dimensions
• To acquire advanced cultural, theoretical, and technical tools to interpret contexts, define briefs, and manage the full design process from concept to implementation
• To master the phases of interior design, including analysis, scenario building, layout definition, and technical development, within a structured and coherent project framework
• To strengthen the ability to integrate aesthetic, technological, and economic aspects while ensuring consistency between spatial identity and the intended design vision
• To build skills in selecting materials and technologies, evaluating time and costs, and coordinating effectively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Title Released

At the end of the program, once the final examination has been passed, the 1st level Specializing Master “Interior Design: Shaping Spaces across Cultures and Contexts” diploma will be issued with the related achievement of 60 ECTS.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree (or equivalent), or a First or Second Level Academic Diploma are required to be admitted. Foreign qualifications that are equivalent within their respective education systems will also be considered valid. Selection will be carried out by the Scientific Committee.

Admissions are processed on a rolling basis, according to the chronological order in which applications are submitted, until all available places are filled.
