Andrea Giambelli
Bio
Andrea Giambelli is Design Director at Accurat, where he leads projects that help brands and institutions transform the way they work, build amazing products and services, keep their audience engaged, and find value—through innovative and conscious use of data. He is passionate about understanding complex information and building amazing experiences around it—be it websites, applications, artistic installations, printed publications.
After beginning his career as an architect (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Politecnico di Milano), he moved to Canada and pivoted to design and earned a Master’s degree from York University in Toronto, where he graduated with an award-winning thesis focused on a visualization-driven digital service aimed at creating meaningful conversations between citizens and public institutions in Toronto. At York University he was also a teacher for the first year YSDN Information Design course. He then joined RATIO.CITY—a Canadian startup specializing in geospatial and urban data—where he worked for two years first as Lead Designer and then as Director of Products.
