TAKE A LOOK AT THE PROJECTS WINNING THE CONTEST
“SHARP DESIGN CONTEST | LIGHT FOR EMOTIONAL COMFORT” 
promoted by 
Sharp Corporation and POLI.design.

Thursday 21st february 2013 was held the Sharp Design Contest | Light for Emotional Comfort Award Ceremony, at Triennale di Milano - Agorà Theater.
The award ceremony was also an opportunity to present the 15 finalists selected by the jury, considered the most innovative illuminating systems participating as finalists. These projects have been submitted by a number of Italian students and professionals who partecipated creating designs characterized by a contemporary aesthetics and able to convey the values ​​and identity of the brand SHARP.

Student category - 1st prize
LightUP - Linda Bowman
LighUP is very versatile lighting system for different domestic environments: thanks to a simple and elegant line and its system for regulating the light intensity, LightUp can be used in any domestic environment and at any time of the day or night.

Student category - 2nd prize
Roberto Strano
The project represents the synthesis of the union of myth and science. The moon has always deeply moved the man becoming the emblem of one of the greatest technological achievements!
The project implemates an intuitive and attractive use of the object, with logical and essential aesthetics.

Professional category - 1st prize
Skylight Luminator - Francesco Murano, Luca Salas, Silvia Giuliano
The project develops the design of a large dome able of creating a constellation of radial lights, not only illuminating but also promoting the well-being within the space in which it is positioned.
The project, which incorporates some of the concepts belonging to the culture of lighting, architecture and design, is the representation of a complex system integrating perfectly into the environment in which it is placed through a management systems that changes  brightness, color and temperature of the lights.

Professional category - 2nd winner
Lucio Federico Maria Elli, Marco Febbo, Stefano Filipuzzi, Andrea Fiorito
Lucio, defined as the first home light "man's best friend" is a mobile LED lighting system, designed for emotional interaction with the user.
The project stems from the implementation of the LED unit from Sharp in a small robot equipped with mechanical and opto-electronic technologies.
