Boating and Hydrogen: Potential and challenges for the future of green propulsion systems

Politecnico di Milano organizes, with the support of Atena Lombardia, POLI.design and Made, a seminar dedicated to the prospects of hydrogen propulsion for boats in the nautical sector.

In the European framework of sustainable mobility, there are already companies, professionals, and research projects that play an important role in opening up the market for hydrogen applications in the nautical sector.

Politecnico di Milano, with its numerous experiments on application technologies for hydrogen propulsion and its pre-normative research project e-SHyIPS, is a European protagonist in the ecological transition for waterborne transport.

Boating and Hydrogen wants to be a meeting and discussion point to provide an overview on the development prospects of the hydrogen value chain: from market strategies to the needs of infrastructure and logistics, from technical aspects to safety, up to the experiments in the main Italian shipyards.

Among the speakers also Andrea Ratti and Arianna Bionda, respectively Scientific Director and Deputy Manager of the Specializing Master in Yacht Design.
