HOSThinking a design award 2013

The international contest HOSThinking a design award ended with 180 candidacies arrived from all over the world.
The winners are 18 proposals selected out of the 71 presented project, the selection criteria were: concept innovation of the product/place/service, consistency with the idea and integration of experience values.

Award ceremony: October, 18 2013 at Host 2013, FieraMilano – Rho.

The challenge proposed to world’s designers has been that of developing innovative and original concepts in the sector of the hospitality industry Ho.Re.Ca (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering) and Retail, proposing concept designs ranging from space, to products and services.

The 18 selected projects have been exhibited in a dedicated area within Host 2013, the International exhibition of the hospitality industry, the leading trade fair for Ho.Re.Ca and Retail world scheduled in the fieramilano in Rho from 18th to 22nd of October 2013. From this shortlist the jury selected 3 winners, who received a cash prize and have been announced during Host 2013.

The winners:
1st prize (4.000€): 610 HI-TECH HOST HANDLE, by Marco Pellicci, Suzana Freitas De Lima, Alberto Piccini e Giorgio Russo

2nd prize (2.000€): LA STANZA NELLA DIMORA | Ospitalità contemporanea in residenze d’epoca, by Matteo Fioravanti, Donatella Caruso, Margherita Bagiacchi e Magdalena Vidal Biedma

3rd prize (1.000€): COM | Cascina Ospitale Milano by Roberta Co
