Festival Puebla Ciudad Creativa. October 20, 2016: workshop held by Giulio Ceppi, Politecnico di Milano.
POLI.design, during the Festival “Puebla Ciudad Creativa”, in collaboration with Brodmann 52, IBEROAMERICANA Corporación Universitaria, La Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Turismo de la Ciudad de Puebla and La COLECTA.MX, has held in Puebla, capital of the homonymous Mexican State, on October 20th, a workshop on the theme of Design Heritage, named “Do you MOLE?” and coordinated by Giulio Ceppi, a professor of Product Design at the Politecnico di Milano.
Among the workshop participants, divided into multi-disciplinary and cross-working teams, there were students, members of the Secretariat for economic development and tourism, communication specialists, chefs, architects and designers.
After a phase of field research along the streets of the city, the participants worked together to define a path that, starting from a typical Mexican dish, the “mole pueblano”, could be able to interconnect the beauties of the area, characterized by a rich culinary, artistic and cultural tradition.
Thanks to the creative contribution of all teams involved, the workshop has led to the design of a specific “user experience”, an experience and storytelling system as well, capable of relating tourist, cultural and gastronomic services of Puebla in order to make both Mexicans and foreigners rediscover the known and hidden treasures of the city.
