Today, March 2, 2021, the students of the 9th edition of the Master Industrial Design for Architecture begin the Conviviality 4 Kitchen and Modern Living workshop in collaboration with Frigo 2000.
For the occasion, young designers will be invited to live a technical-creative experience aimed at exploring the new scenarios of the Home Cooking School, with a focus on the needs of modern and contemporary living (post-covid).
The goal will be to design a high-performance kitchen to teach cooking techniques online.
In this new scenario, the kitchen space becomes a media workspace, where to live and prepare food in a healthy way, where high technologies are needed to reduce preparation times and improve results, where aesthetic value must not be lacking even in the design. workspace, all with a view to innovation in the short and long term.
The goal of the workshop will therefore be the development of concepts capable of integrating and systematizing the various appliances in the kitchen environment, enhancing their functions and innovation to the point of making the space for preparing and cooking food a scenic stage for teaching also for distance.
One year after the pandemic that hit us, we learned how the technologist has been supporting us, but how she cannot be the only communication and connection tool between people. Food has become a source of language and sharing, even at a distance.
The concepts will be developed starting from the know-how and corporate values matured within the entrepreneurial reality of Frigo 2000, a partner company of the initiative, which acts as a reference for the specific skills related to household appliances and products for cooking and preservation. of food.
The final projects will be presented to an exceptional jury on 7 April 2021, composed of Angela Frenda, Elisa Ossino, Aldo Parisotto and Niko Romito.
