The meeting with the Fashion Hub of Serra Gaúcha was held on 19th October at the headquarters of POLI.design, in the presence of Professor Giuliano Simonelli, delegate of the Rector for relations with Latin America as well as President of the Consortium, and Paola Galdi, head of the International Affairs Office.
The fashion industry has been taking a considerable weight in the local market of Serra Gaúcha, a southern region of Brazil increasingly expanding also on the international front.
A first round table, devoted to the mutual presentation and the discussion of future opportunities and collaborations, was followed by a tour of the Bovisa Campus of Politecnico di Milano with adjoining visit to the workshops: LAB|Immagine and LAB|Moda.
The tour ended with a visit to POLIfactory, the new makerspace – fab lab of Politecnico di Milano, where design, digital manufacturing and research come together in order to create new design models and develop prototypes for advanced products and services.
A new opportunity for POLI.design that, after the project ACRE, Made in Amazonia, continues to build strong relationships with Brazil, operating into an international network that is continuously growing.
