EARLY BIRD on a wide range of Specializing Master’s programs starting next year

The 2025 edition of the POLI.design and Porada competition focused on sofas. These are the winners of the contest promoted by ADI, the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale.
PORADA ARREDI srl and POLI.design continue their mission to discover and promote talent in furniture design. The 2025 edition of the competition aimed to identify new SOFA concepts, with one key requirement: the use of solid wood, as a dominant—though not necessarily exclusive—material. The awarded projects successfully convey Porada’s values and brand identity. At the same time, they leave ample room for creativity, particularly through the use of fabric upholstery and other materials, preferably selected from those already featured in the brand’s collection.
Nearly 300 projects were submitted from around the world and evaluated by the selection committee. Participation was strong from Italy, with an equally positive response at the international level. The jury considered it essential that the projects demonstrated the ability to define and anticipate new usage scenarios and innovative concepts for wooden furniture and contemporary furnishing elements. Particular attention was paid to the typological, technological, and morphological aspects of the sofa, as well as the coherence of the proposed solutions with Porada’s values and identity.
